The mission of the Bureau of Standards is to promote the international competitiveness of Jamaican products, facilitate trade and protect consumers by providing standardization and metrology services through visionary leadership, consultations, teamwork and a committed, motivated and professional workforce.

The Bureau of Standards is committed to providing quality services that fully meet the requirements of internal and external customers. Each employee has a positive commitment to quality and will respond quickly and effectively to satisfy the customer at all times.
