The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) advises that Santa Cruz Processors, Brae’s River, St. Elizabeth is not authorized to process canned ackees in brine for distribution and sale.

The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) is encouraging the general public to be mindful when purchasing some items of pre packaged goods. In particular, the Bureau is calling attention to a prevalence in recent months, of ‘bag juices’ and ‘bottled juices/drinks’ with generic labelling being sold across the island.

Events

The annual celebration of World Standards Day on 14 October 2010 will be marked by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica, as well as scores of other standards bodies across the world under the theme ‘Standards make the world accessible for all’. The following activities have been identified by the BSJ.
