The Bureau of Standards Jamaica announces the confirmation of affirmation of the following mandatory standards as Jamaican Standards.

These standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) were reviewed by stakeholders and are to be adopted after a one month period of non-objection. Copies of these standards are available for viewing at the Bureau’s Main Office and four Regional Offices (Mandeville, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Savanna-La-Mar).

The launch will promote the JS 61: 2016 Jamaican Standard Specification for Coffee and scheduled for 1 February 2017 under the theme "Jamaican Coffee to the World: the Role of Standards." The session will clarify the role that standards play in supporting and strengthening the coffee trade while providing a platform for differentiating Jamaican coffee internationally.
