Employment Opportunity - ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 Lead Auditors

The National Certification Body of Jamaica (NCBJ), the certification unit of the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) accredited to ISO 17021-1 by ANSI – ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) is seeking to contract highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced professionals with proven record of accomplishment to fill on a part-time basis the following positions: ISO 9001/ ISO 22000 Lead Auditors/Auditors.

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be required to support the certification process by:

  • Conducting off and on-site third party certification audits

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Tertiary level education from an accredited institution in related discipline based on International Accreditation codes listed below

  • At least forty (40) hours of internationally recognized Lead Auditor training in the ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 22000 standard

  • A minimum of four (4) years work experience including a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in quality assurance at a managerial level or in a technical capacity.

  • A minimum of 10 audit days experience in first, second or third party audits

  • Knowledge in terminology, processes and technologies related to business sectors

  • Working knowledge of risk management and or risk based auditing

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000 and ISO 14001 standards would be an advantage

  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills and be a good team player

NB. Incumbents with training, work and audit experiences in the following International Accreditation Forum (IAF) industry codes would be at a distinct advantage:-

  • Pharmaceuticals

  • Food, Beverages and Tobacco

  • Financial intermediaries (insurance companies, real estate, banks etc)

  • Engineering Services

  • Public Administration

  • Other Services

  • Education

  • Printing Companies

  • Pulp, Paper and Paper Products

  • Agriculture Hunting, Forestry and Fishing

  • Mining and Quarrying

  • Information Technology

  • Hotels and Restaurants

  • Chemicals, Chemical Products & Fibres

  • Concrete, Cement, Lime, Plaster, etc.

  • Basic Metals and Fabricated Metal Products

  • Manufacturing

  • Wholesale and Retail Trade

  • Rubber and Plastic Products

  • Other Social Services
