Signing Ceremony for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) BSJ & JMEA

On Tuesday, 15 March 2022, the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) and the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) participated in a Signing Ceremony in recognition of the renewal  of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two entities. The BSJ through the renewal of this MOU demonstrates its commitment to working with industry associations towards the development of the local and international competitiveness of MSMEs through the use of standards.

The types of  support provided under the MOU includes:

* a 20% discount to medium-sized entities and 25% discount to micro and small entities towards accessing BSJ's services;

* a capacity build and training component that involves the training of JMEA Officers as trainers to be supported by BSJ's Technical Officers in engaging with their members.

 

The assistance accessible under the MOU continues to provide meaningful support to MSME's and their ability to compete globally.
