The Root Cause Analysis Course introduces participants to root cause analysis in business. Participants will be guided through FMEA risk analysis methodology, documenting non-conformities, investigating incidents, conducting data analysis, identifying root causes, making recommendations, developing corrective action plans, and verifying and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions. During the course, emphasis will be placed on causal factors, the 5 Whys Methodology, the Ishikawa Diagram, and the Pareto Principle. This instructor-led online course will expose participants to lectures, critical discussions, direct/guided instructions, and problem-solving exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in various authentic scenario-based learning activities, document non-conformity, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans with proposed recommendations for an organization of choice with expert guidance.
