The Sensory Evaluation course introduces participants very practically and dynamically to sensory science and the physiological and psychological aspects of perception derived from the human senses. It immerses them in best practices, facilities, and assessment contexts, which requires them to use the three main types of methodology for using sensory functions to make decisions and respond. Opportunities will also be created to review and interpret sensory statistics. This hybrid (face-to-face and instructor-led online) course will immerse participants in lectures, critical discussions, direct/guided instructions, and problem-solving exercises. Learners will also have the opportunity to participate in various authentic scenario-based learning activities designed to have them apply sensory science to specific contexts, conduct experiments, and write up the ballots/reports. These skills developed with expert guidance will be of immediate value to their organization.
