Understanding ISO 9001:2015 Module 1 – Understanding and Interpreting Course exposes participants to ISO, the definitions, the approaches, and principles within that framework to inform the implementation and evaluation of quality management systems. Particular emphasis will be placed on understanding the ISO 9001:2015 standards relative to their value to the organization’s commitment to quality in meeting the needs and requirements of its key interest groups. They will also be introduced to the various dimensions of the quality management system and the role of leadership, planning, and evaluation in attaining ISO certification. The instructor-led course will immerse participants in lectures, critical discussions, direct/guided instructions, and problem-solving exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in various authentic scenario-based learning activities that will prepare them to interrogate the respective clauses of the ISO 9001:2015 Standards and apply them to a quality management system for an organization of choice with expert guidance.
