The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the effective discharge of the general administrative and secretarial functions of the assigned area to ensure its smooth and efficient operation.

The Engineer, Metallurgy, is responsible for the maintenance and further development of the Metallurgy Laboratory to provide testing of metallic materials including reinforcing steel bars and LPG cylinders, and to conduct failure analysis.

The Build Expo and Conference will be held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre on the 8-11 June 2018 and the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) will be a part of this extraordinary event. The event is being held to establish a world class Build Expo in Jamaica for the wider Caribbean region.

ASTM International will be visiting Jamaica, during the period 4 - 5 June 2018 as a part of their three member-country Roadshow in the Caribbean. They will be exploring the theme “Sustainable Construction”.
